At least 261 people were killed and around 900 were injured in a horrific  three-train collision  in Odisha's Balasore, officials said Saturday, the country's deadliest rail accident in more than 20 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the train accident site and meet with injured people at hospitals in Cuttack, his office tweeted. The tragic incident took place around 4:30 a.m. local time, when the Puri-Ahmedabad Express train derailed near the Jagdalpur district. The train was reportedly traveling at a high speed when it veered off the tracks, causing multiple coaches to overturn. Rescue and relief operations were immediately launched as emergency services rushed to the accident site to aid the victims. Chief Secretary Abhijit Sinha, who visited the accident site to oversee the rescue efforts, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and assured all possible support from the government.
