Honda Elevate Makes Its Global Debut in India

Honda's re-entry into the SUV segment took center stage today as the company unveiled its latest offering, the Honda Elevate, at a grand event in New Delhi. With the CR-V and BR-V already in their India portfolio, Honda brings a wealth of SUV experience to the table. Bookings for the Elevate are set to begin in July 2023, followed by a price announcement.


Under the hood, the Honda Elevate will initially be powered by the same 1.5-liter petrol engine found in the popular City sedan. This engine has proven its reliability and efficiency, making it a suitable choice for the Elevate. However, Honda has plans to introduce a full electric powertrain for the Elevate in the future, further emphasizing the company's commitment to sustainable mobility.


In terms of styling, the Honda Elevate bears a striking resemblance to the CR-V available in international markets. Its dimensions of 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,650mm in height, and a 2,650mm wheelbase place it in a similar size category as the Hyundai Creta. The Elevate offers a generous 458 liters of boot space, and its segment-leading ground clearance of 220mm surpasses that of the Creta, which stands at 190mm.


When it comes to competition, the Honda Elevate will face off against formidable rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq in the highly competitive SUV segment. Honda aims to carve out a niche for itself by leveraging its brand reputation, innovative features, and a well-rounded package that caters to the evolving needs and preferences of SUV buyers.


As the bookings for the Honda Elevate open in July, customers can eagerly anticipate a vehicle that blends Honda's SUV heritage with contemporary design, advanced technology, and reliable performance.
